Last year, Boise State distributed 76 million dollars worth of financial aid to students on campus.
All prospective students should complete a FAFSA online application and apply for financial aid. Almost everyone can receive aid - regardless of income or assets.
Students who are awarded aid are not obligated to accept it. If you apply and later change your mind you can refuse the aid package without penalty.
Applying for admission to the Selland College and financial aid are two separate processes.

Earned Income Tax Credit
In addition to financial aid, we encourage all prospective students with children to be sure check to see if they qualify and can claim the Earned Income Tax Credit available from the IRS.
Many students with children qualify for this benefit, but do not claim it because they think they do not make enough money.
You can be very low income and still claim the credit if you have children.
If you qualify, you will get a sizeable check or direct deposit from the government. To learn more about this credit and how it works click here.
If you already filed your taxes but you did not claim this credit last year or in previous years you may be able to file an amended tax return. Visit the IRS web site for information on filing an amended return.
