Free Tutoring For Currently Enrolled Students
Applied Academics provides a variety of free tutoring services in Math, English and Writing. This free support is available to all students as long as they are enrolled in the college.

Transfer students follow the admissions process outlined below. Remember, we are available to answer your questions. Call 426-1431.
Admissions Process.
- Complete the Boise State University Undergraduate Application for Admission. You will need a credit/debit card to include a one-time, nonrefundable $30 application fee.
- Submit an official transcript from the colleges or universities you have attended. . With 14 or more transferable semester credits, you will be granted Regular Admission if your transferable GPA is at least 2.0 and you were in good academic standing at the last institution you attended.
- If you have fewer than 14 transferable semester credits, the following items may be required:

High school transcript (or GED results). º
ACT or SAT results or take our COMPASS assessment. º
If you have less than 14 transferable credits, you will be required to submit your official high school transcript or (GED Test Scores) showing all courses completed and date of graduation.

- Meet with an educational advisor to review your application, ACT/SAT or Compass scores, and finalize your career training plan. This meeting can be done by telephone or in-person at our Boise or Canyon County locations. Call 426-1431 to set an appointment time. Advisors are available evenings upon request.
- Pay the one - time $50 enrollment fee to cover the final costs of processing your enrollment and you will be officially admitted into the college!
- Apply for financial aid. We encourage all students to apply for aid. Even if you don't think, you will need it or you don't think you can qualify. Last year Boise State distributed over 76 million dollars worth of aid to students here on campus. Almost everyone qualifies for some kind of aid. You are not obligated to accept any aid that you may receive. You can decline it. Most students however, find it helpful to have their financial aid filed in case circumstances change and they need additional funds for tools, books, childcare etc. Click on the link below to go to the Boise State Financial Aid Office Site when you can apply online for aid.
- Once you are officially admitted into the college you will receive a letter with a date and time when you can register for classes.
- Attend the registration session, purchase your books, tools, and supplies.
