What Kind of Career Can You Expect?
Many broadcast technicians work in master control facilities—the heart-beat of a TV or radio station. Others work at transmitter sites or in studios, while others pursue careers as talent, producers, or directors of broadcast programming.
Other career opportunities include radio or television station operator, radio or television engineer (SBE-certified technologist), audio producer, and internet/multimedia producer.
What is the Outlook for Job Opportunities and Pay?
The skills learned in this program can be applied anywhere in the country. To validate your competency, our program teaches skills that may be certified by the Society of Broadcast Engineers. We train you on state-of-the- art equipment—much of which is identical to the systems used by local radio and TV stations.
All AAS degrees can be expanded into four-year Bachelor of Applied Science degrees.
