– Program, operate, and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers
– Maintain industrial and manufacturing equipment
– Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair problems with fluid power systems
– Operate and maintain logic circuits in pneumatic and hydraulic systems
– Work with electricity and motor controls
– Perform welding for maintenance purposes
– Interpret drawings and schematics
– Operate variable frequency drives
– Utilize machine tools
– Communicate professionally, both in writing and in person
– Apply related mechanical mathematics
– Build and maintain occupations relationships
A typical day includes six hours of classroom and lab work. Students may work part-time in a related field while in the program.
