Eligibility Requirements: In order to take the GED, you must be at least 16 years old, no exceptions. There is no maximum age restriction. 16-17 year olds will need to fill out a high school Release Form (in pdf format). Individuals wishing to take the GED tests cannot be currently enrolled in any high school classes or activities.
Identification Required: The following are acceptable forms of ID: Current driver’s license, current state issued ID, current passport or current military ID
Fees: $10 one-time registration fee and $15 per test. There is a total of 5 tests for a total of $75. We accept cash, money order, debit and credit cards (Visa / Mastercard). If a student needs to re-take a test, the cost is $18 per test.
Schedule: To take the GED tests you need to reserve a seat. Please call 208-426-2762 for Boise or 208-562-2015 for Canyon County to schedule your GED Test appointment.

Scores: Scores can be obtained online at www.ged123.org with your access code. Your access code is assigned after your first tests have been scored and is available for pick-up. Students must come in to the testing center and present a current state issued ID to access their access code or their testing scores.
Length of Tests:
• Language Arts Written Test (2 parts)
- 1st part: Multiple-choice 75 minutes
- 2nd part: Essay 45 minutes.
• Language Arts Reading Test: 65 minutes
• Social Studies: 70 minutes
• Science: 80 minutes
• Math: (2 parts)
- 1st part: Calculator- 45 minutes
- 2nd part: No Calculator- 45 minutes
